This is a case where kabob meets burger. What a wonderful romance it is. The hearty flavors of grilled pepper, onions, and mushroom on a sirloin burger. The best part is, its garnished with a BBQ sauce made with a Sutter Home Wine. This one is sure to please.
1 1/2lbs Ground Sirloin
1 Yellow Bell Pepper
1 Purple Onion
12 Baby Bella Mushrooms
4 Slices of Sharp Chedder Cheese
4 Gourmet Buns
1 Cup BBQ Sauce
1/8 Sutter Home Cabernet Sauvignon
Form sirloin into four equal patties.Cut pepper and onion into large pieces for skewers. Push peppers, onions, and mushrooms onto four skewers. Mix one cup of your favorite BBQ sauce with 1/8 cup of Sutter Home Cabernet Sauvignon. Heat on low for 10 minutes. Baste kabobs and patties with sauce before grilling. Grill on high heat until done turning only once. Add cheese and let melt. Remove from grill. Serve burgers with a leaf of lettuce and a slice of tomato on bottom bun. Serve open face with Kabob on side and extra sauce.
This burger is so big not only in flavor but is size as well. Fork and knife necessary. Serve remaining wine with burgers.
