Indian Spiced Burger

Ingredients

Burger:
2 LB ground chuck
1/2 cup Vidalia onion diced
2 teaspoon red curry powder
1 teaspoon Ground Turmeric
1 teaspoon Garam Masala
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
Sauce:
3 Tablespoon fresh mint chopped
3/4 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup sour cream
2 Tablespoon Country Dijon Grey Poupon
Extra Virgin Colavita Olive Oil
6 Kaiser rolls Cut
2 cups chopped romaine lettuce

 

Instructions

In a 2.5 quart bowl combine the ground chuck, diced Vidalia onion, red curry powder, ground turmeric, garam masala, minced garlic, and salt. Form the ground chuck mixture into 6 patties. In a 1.5 quart bowl combine the chopped mint, plain yogurt, sour cream, and Country Dijon Grey Poupon mustard. Baste grill racks with Extra Virgin Colavita olive oil. Place burgers on grill. Cook for 14-18 minutes turning once. Baste cut side of Kaiser rolls with Extra Virgin Colavita Olive Oil. Grill cut side down for 2-3 minutes until lightly golden on edges. On bottom side of each toasted Kaiser roll place a cooked chuck steak patty. Divide and spoon sauce evenly between each Patty, top with lettuce. Finally crown each with top part of the Kaiser roll. Serves 6.
