Honey Mustard Spinach Burger

Pairs well with:

White Zinfandel

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.

Ingredients

Pick out 2 pounds of boneless beef chuck steak and have it fresh ground at your grocer.
2 Tablespoons mayonaise
1/2 teaspoon salt – I use medium ground
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/8 teaspoon coarse ground pepper
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup grey poupon mustard
1/4 cup mayonaise
1/4 lb fresh spinach (1 bunch)
6 Potato hamburger buns
3 Tablespoons butter

Instructions

Mix beef with mayonaise, salt, pumpkin spice, and pepper. Form into 6 large approximately 1/2" thick patties. Grill on, preheated to low, gas grill (may grill on coals but not too hot or close to fire). Grill each side about 5 minutes until 160 degrees in the center of burger or till juices run clear. I do not press down on burgers with turner as this drys burgers out. Meanwhile mix honey, mustard, and mayonaise together in small bowl for spread. Toast inside of buns in toaster on bagel setting and butter while hot. Spread both sides of buns with mustard spread dividing evenly. Place grilled burgers on buns and top generously with spinach. Top with bun and serve immediately. Enjoy!
