With hints of passion fruit, melon, and citrus, this wine beckons you to kick back and find a perfect porch swing.

Ingredients:

Jammie Sauce:
½ cup Seville orange marmalade
1 tbsp. finely chopped cilantro leaves
2 tbsp. mild banana peppers (available in jars) coarsely chopped

Hammie Patties:
1 pound ground smoked ham
½ pound ground pork
½ pound ground beef
1/3 cup finely minced onion
¼ pound saltine crackers placed in a bag and finely crushed
2 medium size eggs slightly beaten
¾ cup tomato juice

½ cup Colavita® Limonolio extra virgin olive oil for basting and brushing on the grill rack

6 fresh rye bagels, split in half like traditional sandwich buns

8 ounce container of whipped cream cheese spread

Instructions:

Preheat gas grill to medium.

To make the Jammie Sauce, combine the Seville orange marmalade, cilantro and banana peppers in a small mixing bowl, using a salad fork. Cover and set aside.

To make the Hammie Patties, place the ground smoked ham, ground pork, ground beef, onion, cracker crumbs, eggs and tomato juice in a large mixing bowl.

Very gently mix all Hammie Pattie ingredients together. Separate into six equal portions and shape each portion into a patty slightly larger than the diameter of the bagels.

Baste the grill racks lightly with a small amount of Colavita® Limonolio extra virgin olive oil
and place patties on grill rack.

After cooking for 6 minutes, using a metal spatula turn the Hammie Patties over and baste the cooked side of the Hammie Patties lightly with Colavita® Limonolio extra virgin olive oil. With the corner of the metal spatula, poke several holes thru each Hammie Pattie to the uncooked side allowing any oil and juice to drain.

After turning the Hammie Patties, baste the cut sides of bagels with small amount of Calovita® Limonolio extra virgin olive oil and place the cut basted side down on grill rack but not directly above flame. Keep careful watch to make sure the bagels do not burn!

Allow the Hammie Patties to continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes.

They will be completely cooked when internal temperature reaches 160°F or, the Hammie Patties are very firm and no liquid runs out of the poked holes when applying gentle pressure with the flat side of the spatula to the Hammie Patties. It should be noted that the Hammie Patties will not turn completely brown; they will be a medium rosy pink color.

To assemble the Hammie Jammie Any Meal Burgers, remove bagels from grill and spread approximately 1 tablespoon of cream cheese on cut side of both the top and bottom of each bagel, (it’s ok of the bagels are finished a few minutes prior to the Hammie Patties). Place a grilled Hammie Pattie on each bagel bottom and using the salad fork, pick up a generous amount of the Jammie Sauce and spread evenly on top of each Hammie Pattie. Complete the assembly by placing the bagel tops onto the Jammie Sauced Hammie Patties!
