Directions

Prepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill with a cover or preheat a gas grill to medium-high.

To make the spread, whisk the mayonnaise, mustard and chives in a small bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside.

To make the patties, combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and Worchester sauce. Form 12 thin patties.

Place 2 thin slices of ham in the center of 6 patties. Put remaining patties on top and seal edges to make 6 burgers.

When grill is ready, place burgers on the rack, cover and cook, turning once until done to preference, 5 – 7 minutes on each side for medium. Place cheese on top during the last 2 minutes until cheese is melted. Also, place the buns, cut side down, on the outer edges of the grill rack to toast lightly during the last 2 minutes of grilling.

To assemble the burgers, spead a generous amount of the mustard mayonnaise on the cut sides of the buns. On each bun bottom, place a grilled patty, three slices of English cucumber and butter lettuce. Serve and Enjoy!
