Good Ole Sloppy Burger

Ingredients

Start with a not too lean ground meat. You don’t want dry meat!

canned or fresh mushrooms

vidalia or red onion

swiss, provalone, or mozzarella cheese

your choice of mustard or other condiment

crustini buns

 

Instructions

Make nice big patties to place on grill.
Start them out over medium heat to cook them through. Meanwhile , inside cut up the mushrooms and onions and place in a skillet on the stove with a tablespoon of your favorite steaksauce. ( Add a tablespoon per cup of onion mushroom mix, depending on how much you are going to make) cook until done to your likeness. set aside. flip burgers after about 5 minutes and turn up heat to make sure they are well done. keep an eye on them. Every grill is different! Season with garlic salt and black pepper. When burger have nice black lines and look done to your likeness, grab your skillet and spoon the mushroon and onion mix over each burger. Then place your favorite choice of cheese over it. Turn down heat to low and close lid. If you’d like, you could place a little butter on the buns and toast them on the grill. I like these best with just some mustard. But the messier, the better.
