garlic sun dried tomato burger(katies concoction)
This easy and delicious recepie takes no time, and is a nice change from your average burger, but still keeps the beef flavor as the key part.
- 8 oz lean ground beef
- 4 sun dried toms (chopped)
- dash red pepper flakes
- 1/2 clove fresh garlic and one more, aside
- few grinds of fresh ground pepper
- pinch kosher salt
- 2 tbsp. of sutter home merlot(some for you too!)
- fresh basil leaves
- sliced smoked mozzarella cheese
- ciabatta bread
- Colavita olive oil
- sliced, roasted orange and red peppers
- schmear of Grey Poupon
mix: beef, chopped sun dried toms, red pepper flakes(to your liking), garlic, pepper, salt and wine. make into patty and grill. Prepare ciabatta by rubbing with garlic clove and brushing with Colavata olive oil. place open on grill and lightly toast inside of bread. place 2 slices of smoked mozarella on grilling patty, for last min. to melt. place on ciabatta, top with fresh basil leaves and roasted red peppers. schmear on a bit of Grey Poupon!
