Flame Grilled Juicy Burgers

This burger is a great Ameican burger because it is JUICY and full of flavor. Grilling brings out the best in the meat. It can be served with ordinary condiments or made more exotic with aioli dressing.


1 lb. ground beef
1 beef bouillon cube
1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1/2 t. pepper
1 /2 t. salt
1 t. grated lemon peel
1/2 t. ginger
1/2 t. ground sage


Mix beef, bread crumbs, lemon peel and seasonings. Dissolve beef bouillon cube in the boiling water and add to beef mixture. Make 4 large or 5 medium size patties. Chill in refrigerator about 15 minutes. Grill over hot coals about 6-7 min. each side. Serve on sesame seed buns or thickly cut bread slices toasted on the grill.


Serve with the usual condiments (ketchup, mustard) and lettuce/tomato/onion. Or, serve with aioli dressing and lettuce/tomato/onion. Aioli is prepared with 1/2 c. mayonnaise and 1/2 t. granulated garlic powder and 2 dashes lemon juice.
