This burger melds our love of Mexican food and grilling. It is utterly simple and delicious.
2 lbs. 85% lean ground beef
6 Tablespoons taco seasoning
6 slices Monterey Jack or Pepperjack cheese
1 avocado (sliced)
1/2 cup medium salsa
6 sesame seed buns
Oil grill surface.
Preheat grill to medium heat.
Form six burgers.
Dip both sides of burgers into taco seasoning mix.
Grill 3 to 5 minutes on each side. Top with cheese and allow it to melt slightly.
Place each burger on a bun and top with avocado slices and salsa.
Serve with Sutter Home Merlot.
This has always been a great hit with guests. It is far easier than it appears.
