Ingredients

2/3lbs Uncooked Shrimp (31-40 count)
2lbs Lean Ground Beef
2Tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
1tsp Black Pepper
1Tbsp Minced Garlic
1/2cup Chopped Onion
1/3cup Spicy Cocktail Sauce
1 Egg
6 Old Fashioned Kaiser Rolls
6 Thick Slices Large Ripe Tomato
6 Thin Slices Large Onion
6 Leaves Romaine Lettuce
6 Slices American Cheese (optional)

Instructions

Peel, devein, and cut in half all of the uncooked shrimp; divide into 6 equal portions and set aside. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, old bay, black pepper, minced garlic, chopped onion, spicy cocktail sauce, and egg. Mix well by kneading with hands; divide into 6 equal portions. Mix 1 portion of uncooked shrimp with each portion of hamburger mix by tearing hamburger mix portion in half and placing shrimp between the two halves. Press into patties such that the shrimp pieces stay within the hamburger. Cook patties on medium-high grill 7-10 minutes (grills vary…when burger is done medium to well, shrimp will also be done). Serve on Kaiser roll with tomato slice, onion slice, and lettuce leaf (cheese slice optional). Makes 6 large burgers
