Zinfandel

Bright and full-bodied, this Zinfandel wine is a curious contradiction in tastes.

Ingredients

2lbs package of  Natural Beef 85/15
1 large vidalia onion
1/4 cup of worchestershire sauce
1/4 cup of Steak Sauce
pinch of kosher salt
pinch of crushed red peppers
1/4 teaspoon of fresh ground pepper

 

Instructions

In the morning, before the cookout I combine all of the above ingredients. Chop the vidalia onion coarsely so you can see the chunks of onions in the meat mixture. Cover and let stand in the refrigerator until cookout time. Heat the grill (we use gas) for about 30 minutes. Make the patties very large, they should be the size of a dvd about 1/4 inch thick. Place on grill until done to your liking. Enjoy.
