Debra's Juicy Beefy Delights
Hello, I started making these burgers many years ago for my husband and son because they didn't like what they called the cardboard burgers that most people served at cookouts that we attended through the years. They wanted a big juicy beefy burger they could taste. All of my son's friends could smell them cooking a mile away and would show up at the door for diner. One of his friends had us laughing when he asked if it was "REAL MEAT"!!!! His mom only made veggie burgers. I thought the kid was going to pass out from delight the next morning when I served REAL BACON with breakfast. This was truly a kid who didn't need much to make him happy, a little bit of protein, real meat as he called it did wonders for him. Hope you enjoy my burgers as much as he did.
2 lbs. fresh ground round
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
2 pkgs/dry Beefy Onion Soup Mix
2 tbls. fresh minced garlic
2 tbls. of Mayo
1 cup fresh diced mushrooms
1/2 cup fresh diced onions
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded parmasean cheese
In large bowl hand mix ground round, beaten eggs, bread crumbs, soup mix, garlic and mayo. Add diced mushrooms, onion and cheese mixing gently with hands until throughly mixed togehter. Refrigerate to meld all flavors for at least 1 hour. (Can be made as early as the night before if desired.) Make large 1/4-1/2 pound balls, shape into thick patty size and grill to personal liking, Well, Medium, Rare etc. Serve with roll of choice and the following condiments for your guest to choose from; Sliced Tomato, Lettuce, Mayo, Ketchup, Steak Sauce, Hot Sauce, Salsa and Pickles. ENJOY!!!!!
