Ciao,Ciao Cheeseburgers Italiano

Everyone including children will love these grilled burgers. Easy to make and fun to eat, these toppings and seasoned meat really compliment eachother. Mangia!


(2) Pounds of Ground Sirloin or ground beef
One cup of any tomato sauce, reserving one half for topping
One quarter cup parmesan cheese
One half cup seasoned bread crumbs
One egg One quarter chopped fresh parsley
One half teaspoon of salt
One teaspoon of Italian Seasoning
One clove of garlic chopped
One quarter cup chopped pinoli nuts
(6) Sesame Hamburger topped buns split
1) pound fresh mozzarella cheese sliced into six slices
(1) Cup of black olives
(6) Slices of purple onions
(12) Pieces of Radicchio and Romaine lettuce
(6) Slices of plum tomatos or Tomatoes on the vine


Heat up grill and spray with Pam Grill non-stick spray. Mix together meat,parmesan cheese,parsley, bread crumbs, egg, salt, Italian seasoning, one half of the tomato sauce, one clove of garlic chopped and pinoli nuts. Form into six patties. Grill six to seven minutes until thoroughly cooked on the inside. Melt Mozzarella slice on each burger and take off grill. Toast buns and add radicchio and romaine leaves,add burger with melted mozzarella,one tomato slice,one slice onion, one tablespoon tomato sauce, and one tablespoon black olives. Serve and enjoy.


If you are diet conscious, you can leave out the bread crumbs when mixing meat and use lowfat mozzarella.
