Cheesy Peanut Butter Burger

When my brother and I were younger and still in school, there were five other siblings to feed as our mother worked late hours to support all of us. There always seemed to be hamburger in the house and sometimes there was peanut butter and sometimes there was cheese, but rarely at the same time. As we grew and had our own families, the "cheesy peanut butter burger" was born. The burgers became so popular with friends and family, they couldn't seem to get enough. The joy of watching someone bite into this tasty morsel for the first time was absolutely awesom. Here is the "Cheesy Peanut Butter Burger" Connie's way.

*Half pound of chopped bacon.
*Three (3) chopped cloves of garlic.
*Eight (8) chopped green onions.
*Four (4) tablespoons of ketchup.
*Three (3) tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce.
*Sea salt to taste.
*Fresh ground pepper to taste.
*1.5 lbs of butcher shop ground round.
*One (1) pound of ground chuck.
*Vegetable oil for the grill.
*Six (6) Fresh bakery HB sesame seed buns.
*)ne (1) stick of Butter.
*One (1) small head of Bib or Boston lettuce
*Six (6)slices of medium sliced baby swiss cheese.
*Twelve (12) tablespoons of creamy peanut butter.

Pre-heat gas grill on high then reduce to med. high. *Cook chopped bacon on griddle on the grill to a crispy golden brown. *Chop onions fine. *Chop garlic fine. *Incorporate onions, garlic, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, sea salt and pepper into meat. *Create six equal sized hamburger patties. *Prepare the grill with vegetable oil. *Place patties on grill and cook to desired preference. About five to seven minutes per side for med well. *Slice buns and butter each half with one pad of butter. *About two minutes before burgers are done, place buttered buns face down on top rack until golden brown. *Place cheese on patties until melted. *Remove the buns from the grill and spread one tablespoon of peanut butter on each bun half. *Place a burger on the bottom half and place the bacon pieces on top of melted cheese. *Place lettuce on top of bacon. Place top of bun and you're done.

Different types of cheese can be used, but the favorite seems to be the baby swiss. Peanut butter can be heavier or lighter, or crunchy, depending on taste, but this amount seems to be best. Hope you enjoy.
