1/2 pound, Colby Jack cheese (6 thin slices and the rest finely cubed)
2 Tablespoons, Garlic Pepper seasoning (plus an additional 1Tablespoon to sprinkle on patties once cooking)
2 Tablespoons, Seasoned Salt (plus an additional 1Tablespoon to sprinkle on patties once cooking)
6 onion bagels, toasted
12 Teaspoons mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon to spread on each half of toasted bagel
6 Teaspoons ketchup, 1 teaspoon to top each burger
6 large leaves of lettuce, 1 to top each burger
1 small onion, finely sliced
Instructions
Cook bacon on medium/high heat until crispy, approximately 12-14minutes. Remove from pan. Do not drain bacon grease. Chop bacon
into small bit-sized pieces and place into bowl. Slice Colby jack cheese into thin slices, reserve six slices to top burgers, cube the rest into small bits, mix in with bacon bits.
Sprinkle hamburger with both seasonings, folding the seasoning mix into the burger meat. When seasoned, mix in bacon and cheese bits, folding into the hamburger until evenly mixed. Form 6 regular-sized patties (1/3 pound, each). Place patties into the large frying pan that was used for the bacon containing the bacon grease, sprinkle patties with additional garlic pepper seasoning and seasoned salt. Cook on medium/high heat, covered, approximately 7 minutes, flip. Sprinkle with additional garlic pepper seasoning and seasoned salt, cook to your preference. Toast six onion bagels while cooking, smear each half with 1 Teaspoon mayonnaise. Flip burgers once more, top with cheese slice, remove from pan and place on toasted onion bagel. Place onion slices into pan to fry. Top each burger with 1 teaspoon ketchup, 1 lettuce leaf, and fried onions. Top burger with other bagel half and enjoy!
