Ingredients

1.75 lbs. of ground chuck .
5 lbs. Bass Farms Hot Country Sausage
2 Tbsp. of Kosher salt
1 large Vidalia onion
1 jar of Home Style Chili- Original (no beans)
vegetable oil, for brushing on the grill rack
6 large hamburger buns with sesame seeds
1 pint of Coleslaw

Instructions

1) Prepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill. 2) To make the patties, combine the 1.75 lbs. of ground chuck, .5 lbs. of sausage and the 2 Tbsp. of salt. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions, being careful not to overwork the patties. Set the patties aside until the fire is proper. 3) Slice the onion into 6 thin slices and set aside. 4) Empty the jar of chili into a small pot and place on the grill until warm, remove from grill and set aside. 5) When the grill is ready, brush the grill rack with vegetable oil. Place the patties on the rack and grill until done, usually 5 minutes on each side. 6) Place the rolls cut side down and toast lightly, turn the rolls over and toast the other side lightly. Then remove the rolls from the grill. 7) To assemble the burgers, place a slice of onion on each roll bottom and place a burger on the onion. Next top the burger with an equal portion of the chili, then add an equal portion of the coleslaw. Add the roll tops and serve.
