Cabernet Sauvignon

This rich red easily complements your homemade chicken dishes, red meats, game, and mildly seasoned pastas.

Ingredients

1 lb ground sirloin or round
1 large egg 1/2 cup fresh minced onion
2 Tbls favorite barbacue sauce
2 Tbls ketchup
1 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp spicy brown mustard
1 Tbls worcheshire sauce
1/4 tsp salt/pepper or to taste
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 basil
1 tsp dried parsley
1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 Tbls Parmasean cheese
6 French hamburger Bakery rolls

Instructions

Beat egg in large bowl. Add meat to egg. Add balance of ingredients. Remove rings and wash hands. Knead mixture well until it stays together. If too moist add additional bread crumbs — too dry add a dash of milk. Now hand form six evenly sized meatballs and then pat them flat to the desired size. To enhance flavor, allow patties to cool in the frig, covered, for an hour or so. Grill prep : Warm grill at low temp. Clean with wire brush and wipe with paper towel. Before placing patties on the grill, rub grill with a potatoe sliced in half. The potatoe both cleans the grill and helps prevent sticking. Cook patties approximately 8 minutes on each side at medium the temperature setting – adjust accordingly. Serve on the rolls, toasted if desired, and add condiments as desired.
