Cabernet Stuffed Burgers

My husband created a red wine stuffed mushroom recipe that is famous among our friends & family. We mixed the stuffing one night with ground sirloin and loved the results! Hope you do too.


1½ Cups Sutter Home Cabernet (set remaining wine aside to enjoy with the burgers!)
1½ Cups Finely Chopped Mushrooms
¾ Cup Finely Chopped Onion
2 t. Minced Garlic
2 T. Colavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil
¾ Cup Seasoned Bread Crumbs
2 lbs. Ground Sirloin
2 t. Sea Salt
2 T. Worchestershire Sauce
Black Pepper to taste


Saute garlic, onion and mushrooms in olive oil for 2 minutes. Add wine and simmer about 5 minutes. Add bread crumbs and mix well (mixture should be stiff). Set mixture aside in a mixing bowl to cool for about 10 minutes. Add ground sirloin, salt, worcestershire, pepper and mix well. Make patties and grill to desired doneness. ENJOY!!
