Burgers Buffalo Style with Creamy Buttermilk Blue Cheese Sauce and Crunchy Onion Rings

We love onion rings, and we love Buffalo Wings.
The next logical step was making a hot spicey Buffalo style burger with a creamy blue cheese topping and some crunchy onion toppings.
.

Ingredients

Burger part:
1 pound ground beef 80/20
1/2 pound ground chuck
1/2 cup Pepper Jack cheese, small dice
1 tablespoons hot sauce(we like Mezzetta California Habenero Hot Sauce Twist and Shout)
1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 teaspoon each kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Creamy Buttermilk Blue Cheese Sauce:
1/2 cup onion and chive cream cheese spread, softened.
1 cup buttermilk
1 package ranch dressing mix (we like Hidden Valley)
1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup thinly sliced celery

Bread:
6 onion Kaiser rolls

Hot Sauce Kicker:
to use at your own capability
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 tablespoons hot sauce (we like the mezzetta listed above)

Toppings:
Creamy Buttermilk Blue Cheese Sauce
2.8 ounce can french fried onions (we like french's)
drizzle of Hot sauce kicker optional
1 cup shredded lettuce

Instructions

In a large bowl put all burger ingredients in, and mix with a spoon to not compact meat.
Form 6 patties, set aside.
Next make the Creamy Buttermilk Blue Cheese Sauce by first whipping the cream cheese, adding the buttermilk and ranch dressing, mixing well than the blue cheese, mayonnaise, and then stir in the sliced celery.
Cover and chill.
Split the kaiser rolls in half lengthwise.
make the Hot Sauce Kicker next by combining the melted butter and hot sauce.
Cover and set aside.
Pre heat grill to medium high.
Grill burgers to how you like them done.
The last 5 minutes of cooking, toast the cut sides of the rolls.
Put one burger on the toasted bottom half of the bun, drizzle some blue cheese sauce over maybe 1 tablespoon, top with 2 tablespoons onion rings, drizzle of hot sauce kicker (if you dare), and some shredded lettuce.

Comments

You can either make your own onion rings, or just buy French's French Fried Onions.
To make the burgers even hotter you can also add chopped jalepenos or habenero pepper.
