My name is Mary and I've been a homemaker for over thirty-six years. My tasty teriaki tasting burgers are a B-B-Que favorite of our family. Friends always raved at the great flavor of my burgers so here I am putting them to an ultimate test.


1 lb. fresh lean ground beef
3 tablespoons say sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground ginger
1 teaspoon salt
1-2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 egg
5-6 crushed saltine crackers
1 cups chopped mushrooms
2 thinly sliced tomatoes
1-2 sliced avocados
lettuce leaves
1 thin sliced sweet onion
4 burger buns


In large mixing bowl mix the first nine ingredients together thoroughly. (This mixture is best if left to marinate together for at least one hour before cooking). Form mixed ingredients into 4 burger patties, grill or pan fry to taste. Place on buns and garnish with tomato, avocado, lettuce and onion. Note: Cheese is not necessary on these burgers but I suggest using jack or cojack cheese for best flavor meld for those who have to cheese it.
