Breakfast burgers

Hard to pronounce yet easy to drink, this wine combines lychee fruit and white peach flavors with a hint of spice.

Ingredients

3 T.unsalted butter
3 Jonathan apples
2 T. chopped onion
1/2 t. fresh thyme
1/8 t. salt
dash pepper
1 1/2 pounds ground sausage
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese 6
English muffins, toasted

 

Instructions

Melt butter in heavy skillet. Peel, slice and core apples. Put apple slices, onions, thyme, salt and pepper in skillet and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until apples are tender. Set aside. Form sausage into six patties and cook in skillet until sausage is thoroughly cooked, turning once. Divide cheddar cheese into six slices and top each sausage patty with a slice of cheese. Cover skillet and cook over very low heat until cheese is melted. Put each sausage patty onto a toasted English muffin half, divide apple mixture over sausage and top with other half of muffin.
