Ingredients

1.5 lbs chopped sirloin
1/3 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 bottle Sutter Home Cabernet Sauvignon
6 slices of American Cheese
Hamburger Buns

 

Instructions

Preheat grille to HOT, 400 to 450 degress, if you have a themometer on your grill, if not make your grill hot. Combine in a bowl sirloin, brown sugar, breadcrumbs and egg. Mix throughly with your hands until all ingredients are completely mixed together. Using your hands, make 6 burger patties, placing them one at a time on a platter. Place burger patties on grilling surface. Pour a small amount of wine in a small bowl. Dip a brush in the bowl of wine and coat the surface of the burgers with the wine/brush. Cook time each side is 3 minutes. After turning the burgers, coat the other side of the burger with the wine. Turn the burgers one more time, and add a slice of American Cheese. Cook burgers until cheese is melted to your taste. Remove cooked burgers to a clean platter and get ready to serve.
