Boudreaux’s Cajun Bacon Burgers

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.

Ingredients

2 lbs quality ground beef
2 tsp minced garlic
3/4 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped
3/4 cup onion, finely chopped
2 green onions, finely chopped
2 eggs
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon Creole Seasoning
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
3 slices deli-style sharp cheddar cheese, folded into quarters
non-stick cooking spray
1 tbsp melted butter
6 Sesame Seed buns

 

Instructions

Hand mix ground beed, garlic, peppers, onion (both varieties). Mix in uncooked eggs, then add dry ingredients (bread crumbs,seasoning and parsley). Mix in crumbled bacon last. After combining all ingredients, divide mixture into 6 equal portions. Open burger patties, inserting 2 cheese quarters into each and form a burger around slices of cheese, making sure no cheese is exposed. On a 350-degree grill, cook burgers on foil, which has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray for 4 minutes on each side. Lower the heat, remove the foil and cook approximately 3 – 4 more minutes on each side spraying the grill each time meat is turned. Open buns, lightly brushing melted butter on insides of buns. Place butter-side down on grill for 1 minute. Serve burgers on buns with favorite condiments. Serve with
