Boston Baked Beans Burger

Ingredients

2 tablespoons of olive oil
6 thin slices of pancetta
1 large onion
2 pounds of ground beef
1 tablespoon of salt
1 tablespoon of pepper
1 tablespoon of garlic salt
1 tablespoon of worcestershire sauce
6 thin slices of sharp cheddar cheese
1- 16 ounce can of brown sugar baked beans
1/2 cup of molasses
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of ketchup
1 cup of chili sauce
1 tablespoon of hot sauce
6 kaiser rolls

 

Instructions

Prepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill with a cover, or preheat a gas grill to medium-high.
In a skillet heat the olive oil and cook the pancetta until crispy, drain on a paper towel and set aside.
Slice the onions in thin slices, in the same skillet cook until onions are caramelize, place in a bowl and set aside.
In a bowl mix together the ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic salt, worcestershire sauce. Shape together 6
patties once shaped lightly push in center of the patties making a small well cook on grill for 6 to 7 minutes on each side when burgers are almost done add cheese cook until melted. Take burgers off grill cover with tin foil and set aside. In a small sauce pan add beans, brown sugar and molasses stir together and cook till beans are hot and bubbly. Lightly toast rolls. In a small bowl mix together ketchup, chili sauce and hot sauce.
Slice kaiser rolls in half.
Spread desired amount of ketchup on the rolls, on the bottom part of the rolls place the pancetta and then the burger, top burger with 3 tablespoons of the baked beans then add grilled onions the top with the top part of the bun. Enjoy!
