Blue Cheese Bacon Burgers

Who doesn't love bacon? It's a family treat around here and so I wanted to build it into a burger with a creamy cheesy topping as well. Yum!


1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 cup crumbled blue cheese
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon dried minced onion
1 1/2 pound lean ground beef
12 bacon strips, cooked to crispy
6 lettuce leaves
6 thick slices of tomato
6 hamburger buns with sesame seeds


Combine first 5 ingredients in a medium bowl. Keep in refrigerator until ready to use.

Divide ground beef into 6 patties. Grill, covered on medium, for 5-7 minutes per side or until no longer pink.

Split buns and divide the cream cheese mixture between the bun tops. Place the burger, bacon, lettuce, and tomato on the bottom bun and top with the cream cheese/bun top.


You could also put the cream cheese mixture on the top of the burger on the grill for 1-2 minutes to melt and heat the cheese. Then top with the bacon, lettuce, and tomato. It's great served warm or cold!
