Black Forest Burger

A cracked black pepper crusted burger, topped with merlot-simmered mushrooms, swiss cheese, and garlic mayo.

Ingredients 

3 lbs hamburger
1 tblsp parsley
1 1/2 tblsp salt
3tblsp cracked black pepper
2 cans sliced mushrooms
1 1/2 cup of Merlot wine
1 cup mayo
1 tblsp minced garlic
6 slices of swiss cheese
6 wheat hamburger buns

Instructions 

Season meat with parsley and salt then assemble 6 patties. Place pepper on a plate coat each side of meat with the pepper. Let sit for 20 min. Meanwhile add mushrooms and merlot to a small pot and simmer for 12-15 min. Then make the mayo by adding garlic to it. Begin grilling each side for 6-7 min. 2 min. before removing the meat add the bread to the grill for a light toasting. Remove items from grill. Spread bottom bun with garlic mayo, add swiss cheese,pattie, and place a spoonful of merlot-mushrooms atop the meat. Add more mayo to the top bun and enjoy.
