Ingredients

1.5 lbs of ground round beef
1 tbls garlic salt
1 tbls lawry's seasoning
1 tbls worstershire sauce
1 cup of sweet barbeque sauce original flavor
1/2 sweet vidallia onion chopped
1/4 of a red bell pepper chopped
1 celery stalk finely chopped
4-5 slices of chedder cheese
1 package of onion hamburger buns
1 package of Maverick applewood smoked bacon (or equivalent)

Instructions

Pre heat grill temperature to 400 degrees for 5 minutes then turn down the temperature to 325 degrees Place meat in large bowl and add garlic salt,  seasoning, worstershire sauce, 1/4 cup sweet  original flavored barbeque sauce, onion, pepper and celery. Use your hands to throughly combine ingredients. Gather hamburger mixture into a ball the size of a raquetball with your hands and flatten until the meat is about 1" thick and place on plate. Repeat until you have used all the mixture and you have 4 to 5 hamburger patties. Talk the hamburger patties, the remaining 3/4 cup sweet  barbeque sauce, a basting brush, chedder cheese slices and hamburger buns to the grill. Place the patties on the pre heated 325 degree grill and close the lid for about 10 +/- 2 minutes depending on how you like your meat. Back in the kitchen, prepare 8 slices of bacon, I use the microwave to cook bacon by simply placing 5 paper towels on top of a paper plate, then laying out the slices on the paper towels and finally covering the bacon with one paper towel to prevent splattering, then cooking on high for 4 minutes and checking in 30 second intervels until the bacon is cooked. Microwave times may vary. Back at the grill, open the lid and lather face up side of patties with sweet barbeque sauce, flip burgers and again lather face up side with barbeque sauce, close lid and cook for another 10 +/- 2 minutes. Open lid place chedder cheese slices on patties and place the buns open face down on the grill to warm. Close the lid for 1.5 minutes open grill and remove buns and patties. Assemble hamburgers by placing patties on the buns cheese side up, 2 applewood smoked bacon slices and a small amount of barbeque sauce to taste. Enjoy!!
