Balsamic Glazed Bruscetta Burgers

My recipe is a sirloin burger with basil, tomatoe, and fresh mozzarella, glazed with a balsamic reduction, served on a ciabata roll that has been basted with garlic infused olive oil and lightly toasted. This is served with lettuce, tomatoe, and red onion on the side.

1/4 cup chopped,fresh basil
1 (14 oz)small can of finely diced tomatoes, drained
2 1bs ground sirloin
1 egg
1 TBSP Olive oil
1/4 Cup plain,dried bread crumbs
1/2 TBSP Salt
1/4 1b fresh mozzarella
2 Cups balsamic vinegar, reduced
garlic infused olive oil
5 Ciabata Rolls

Chop 1/4 C of fresh basil, place in a mixing bowl. Drain 1 small can (14oz)of finely diced tomatoes and add to mixing bowl. Add 2lbs ground sirloin to mixing bowl. Add 1 egg to bowl Add 1 tbsp olive oil to bowl Add 1/4 Cup plain, dried bread crumbs to bowl Add 1/2 tbsp salt to bowl Mix all these ingredients by hand, and form into 1/2lb patties (makes 5 patties) Cut 1/4 lb fresh mozzarella into 5 chunks, place in center of pattie Grill burgers... In the meantime, place 1/4 C olive oil in a sauce pan with 3 cloves smashed garlic. Heat until you can smell the garlic...this infuses the oil. Bast Ciabata rolls with garlic infused olive oil. Toast on the grill or in the oven. Measure 2 Cups balsamic vinegar, pour in preheated skillet, and allow to reduce until it has formed a thick glaze. Once burgers are finished, 10 minutes per side,(on an electric grill) for well done burgers, Place on toasted Ciabata roll, spoon balsamic glaze on top of burger, and serve with lettuce, tomatoe, and red onion on the side.

This burger is not only lean, due to the sirloin cut of meat, but it makes you feel like you are eating healthy. This burger has a light summery taste, and the balsamic glaze sends your taste buds on a flavorful destination.
