Alternate Highway Burger

Alternate Highway Burger Introduction: Sometime take an alternate highway instead of the same old route especially when it comes to a burger. This recipe come from my burger experiences from years of traveling via the highway.

Ingredients

Alternate Highway Burger Ingredients
Pimiento Cheese Sauce:
1(7-ounce) jar diced pimiento, drained
1 cup reduced fat mayonnaise
1 cup light sour cream
2 tablespoons of finely grated onion
2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon freshly ground red pepper
1 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
Patties:
1½ pounds ground chuck
½ cup shredded American cheese
2(7-ounce) jar sliced pimiento, drained
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
½ cup of butter, softened
12 medium slices of White Mountain Bread
12 dill pickle chips

Instructions

Alternate Highway Burger Directions: Preheat gas grill to medium or prepare to cook patties over 3 to 5 inches over glowing coals. Prepare Pimiento Cheese Sauce by combining the first 7 ingredients in a food processor. Process the ingredients until the mixture is finely blended and the mixture is stiff. Transfer Pimiento Cheese Sauce to sauce bowl. Prepare the patties by combining the meat with the next 4 ingredients and blend. Shape the blended meat into 6 patties. Brush preheated grill with vegetable oil. Cook patties on the medium grill for 10 to 12 minutes, 5 to 6 minutes on each side. While patties are cooking spread soften butter on both sides of sliced bread. Grill bread turning occasionally to toast. To assemble the Alternate Highway Burger, spoon 2 heaping tablespoons of Pimiento Cheese Sauce on slice of toasted bread. Place burger on toasted bread topped with Pimiento Cheese Sauce. Spoon an additional heaping tablespoon of Pimiento Cheese Sauce on burger and place two dill pickle chips on top of Pimiento Cheese Sauce. Top with slice of toasted bread and serve!
