All American Backyard BBQ Burger

Pairs well with:

White Zinfandel

Ingredients

1 cups of mayo
2 tablespoons of  BBQ Sauce (Hickory Smoke Flavor)
Sea Salt and Pepper
12 slices of Hickory bacon
Canola oil for the grill
2 pounds of ground sirloin
1/4 cup of White Zinfandel wine
2 tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce
6 slices of yellow American cheese
6 Sesame Roll
1 red onion sliced
1 red ripe tomato (cut about 1/4â€Â thick)
6 Dill long slice sandwich pickles
6 leaves of roman lettuce

 

Instructions

Prepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill with a cover, or preheat a gas grill to medium-high. For the BBQ Mayo Sauce – in a bowl combine the mayo, bbq sauce, and salt and pepper. Stir until combine then cover and set aside Cook the Bacon in a skillet on the grill over medium high heat until crisp. For the patties –in a large bowl combine meat, wine, Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper. The divide into 6 portions and make into patties about bun size. Brush the grill with oil. Then place the patties on the grill over medium-heat and cover, cook for about 5 minutes per side cook until the doneness you like. Once the patties are done place a slice of cheese on top then place on a plate and cover with foil to allow to rest (do not let the foil touch the cheese) For the Buns – Brush lightly with oil then place buns cut side down on the grill to lightly grill keep a close eye on them not to let them burn. Then set aside. To assemble – on the bottom bun place the burger then place 2 slices of bacon then a slice of tomato on top then 2 slices of pickles and 1 slice of red onion and then the lettuce and spread a thin layer of mayo on the top bun and then place the top bun on and serve
