AlabamaPat's Burger

This recipe was actually made one night when I had a "few" ingredients laying around and decided to put them together. With a lot of raised eyebrows and concerned looks this burger turned those concerns to complete utter satisfaction. It has been requested every time now we grill out. Enjoy!


1 lb. Ground Round
Pinch of coarse Salt
T. Pepper
3 oz. Blue Cheese
2 small Mushrooms - sliced
T. E.V.O.O.
Tsp. Butter
Tsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
Tsp. Sugar
Tsp. Hot Sauce
T. Worcestershire Sauce
Squirt of Ketchup


- In medium bowl mix vinegar, sugar, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup - Add ground round into medium bowl and add salt/pepper.... Let sit - In a small sauté pan add EVOO and butter until pan gets hot then add mushrooms. Cook until golden brown. Transfer to paper towel to drain. - Take your beef and start making a patty. While making a beef patty, add mushrooms and blue cheese by working into beef. Repeat with other patties. - Cook on charcoal (less flare ups) or gas grill


I usually eyeball the ingredients. It all depends on how much meat we get to cook out. Enjoy!!!
