Ingredients

Pattie Ingredients
2lb. Ground chuck (20-25% fat)
1 Yellow Bell Pepper
3 cloves garlic
2 Large Shallots
2 Serrano Peppers
Pattie Seasoning
2tsp Carriben Jerk Seasoning
1Tsp Ground Red Pepper
1Tbsp Dry Mustard
2tsp Montreal Steak Seasoning
4Tsp Salt
4Tsp Black Pepper
4Tsp Southern Flavor Charbroil Seasoning
4Tsp Southern Flavor Garlic Seasoning
Pattie Topping
Sliced extra sharp cheddar cheese
iceberg lettuce
sliced beefsteak tomato or betterboy tomato
Wickle slices (spicey pickles)
Ketchup
Hawian Sweet Hamburger Buns

 

Instructions

Prepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill with a cover or preheat a gas grill to medium high. If using charcoal, create a hot side of the grill by placing coals on one of the grill only. To prepare the patties. Remove the seeds and membrane from the the bell pepper and serrano pepper. Dice( almost mince)the yellow bell pepper, garlic cloves,shallots, and serrano peppers.Puy all those ingredients in bowl and mix evenly. Next combine the carribean jerk seasoning,ground red pepper,dry mustard,and montrealsteak seasoning. Put all seasoning in a seperate bowl and mix evenly. Combine the hamburger meat, fresh ingredients,and seasoning in a large bowl. Mix together until all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the meat being careful not to compact the the meat. Divide into 4 equal size patties. Just before you put them on the grill, dust both sides of each pattie with with salt,black pepper,and bothflavors of southern flavor seasoning. To prepare the toppings- Slice the cheese a little thicker than deli sliced cheese and large enough to cover the bun. Slice the tomatoes and lettuce to equal size. Have the sliced wickles ready to top the burgers. To cook the patties Place the patties on the grill and cover.Cook 7 to8 minutes on each side for medium doneness. Add sliced cheese 2 minutes before they are done. For charcoal grills, 2 minutes before they are done remove from direct heat heatand cook and additional 5 minutes, then add the cheese cook for 2 more minutes.This will add a little more smoke flavor. Remove from grill and prepare. For the buns, put on the grill 7 to 10 minutes before the burgers are done and remove at the same time. To assemble- Place a generous amount of ketchup on the sliced side of the bottom bun. Place the pattie on the bun and top with tomato,lettuce,wickles,and top bun.
