Wine Varietal: Zinfandel
This burger contains a colorful rainbow of fresh ingredients sure to be satisfying upon awakening after a fun filled night of partying on South Beach, as it contains healthful and re-energizing ingredients.
2 lbs. ground sirloin
1 red bell pepper
1 yellow bell pepper
1 orange bell pepper
2 stalks celery
1 red onion
4 oz. dried cranberries
6 oz. crumbled blue cheese
1 large bunch of watercress
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. dried cumin
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp. Kosher salt
1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
6 dashes Tabasco
6 Kaiser rolls
Finely dice all bell peppers, red onion and celery.
SautÃ© in olive oil until tender, drain and set aside to cool and add dried cranberries.
Season ground beef with oregano, cumin, salt, pepper and Tabasco.
Mix crumbled blue cheese with bell pepper/cranberry mixture.
Form 6 patties from ground meat.
Grill patties for 6 to 8 minutes per side.
Toast Kaiser rolls on grill, brushing with olive oil.
Serve patties topped with watercress and blue cheese/bell pepper/cranberry mixture.
