Wine Varietal: Zinfandel
1 cup mayo
1 Tbl balsamic vinegar
1 Tbl soy sauce
2 Tbl pineapple juice (reserved from can of crushed pineapple)
1 Habanera chili minced
4 Tbl crushed tomatos
1 14 0z can sauerkraut drained
1# ground chuck
1# ground sirloin
2 Tbl Montreal steak seasoning
1 Tbl cayenne pepper
1 tsp pepper
1 cup crushed pineapple (drained, juice reserved)
Vegetable oil for the grill
6 slices pepper jack cheese
1 pkg Canadian bacon (at least 6 slices)
6 kaiser roll buns split
Pre heat grill to med heat.
In a small bowl mix mayo, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, pineapple juice and habanera chili and crushed tomatoes. Set aside.
In a grill safe sauce pan, add sauerkraut and and heat through on grill.
In a bowl combine ground chuck, ground sirloin, steak seasoning, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper and crushed pineapple. Mix gently together with hands until combined. Form into 6 Patties.
Brush the grill with vegetable oil. Place the patties on the grill and grill approx 8-10 min per side. While the patties r cooking, place the Canadian bacon on the grill to heat through and get grill marks. Remove and set aside. The last minute or so of cooking patties add pepper jack cheese, cover and let melt. Remove patties and add the spit Kaiser rolls to the grill. Grill until lightly toasted.
On grilled Kaiser Roll place patty, top with Canadian bacon, top with sauerkraut. Slather mayo mixture on top bun and place bun on top of sauerkraut.
