Wine Varietal: Merlot
1-1/2 lb ground sirloin
10 oz. Bleu Cheese, crumbled
2 tsp. – Lowery’s seasoned salt
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup dijon mustard
1/4 cup clover honey
2 large tomatoes
1 large red onion
1 head iceberg lettuce
6 large onion rolls
Separate Bleu Cheese into 1 8 oz. and 1 2 oz. portion.
Set 2 oz. portion aside
Combine beef, seasoned salt and 8 oz bleu cheese in mixing bowl until thoroughly mixed.
Form mixture into 6 patties and set aside.
Mix mayonnaise, mustard, honey and 2 oz. bleu cheese using wire wisk until mixture is smooth. Refrigerate until needed.
Slice tomatoes, onion and lettuce into slices of appropriate size for selected rolls and refrigerate.
Quickly sear burgers on grill at high temperature.
Reduce heat to medium and cook burgers to medium.
After heat has been reduced, toast rolls over medium heat until slightly crisp.
Remove rolls and burgers from gril and place burgers on bottom roll.
Apply liberal amount of bleu honey dijonnaise spread to top of burger.
Top with onion slice, tomato and lettuce.
Cover with top bun.
Hold together with toothpick to serve sliced.
