Wine Varietal: Merlot
My husband loves burgers loaded with anything and everything..this one goes well with his hearty apptetite and incorporates all the ingredients that he loves.
We call them Bank Bustin as the ingredients are a little more costly but well worth it!
1 1/2 pounds of ground beef
1 tbs of finely chopped parsely
3 tbs grated sweet onion
2 tbs freshly grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
3 tbs merlot
1 tbs worstershire sauce
1/4 tsp ea salt & pepper
6 portabello mushrooms
1-2 tbs olive oil
6 slices of thickly sliced bacon, cooked & halved
6 slices of provolone cheese, thickly sliced
6 buns with totasted onions
In a large bowl place beef, parsely, onion, cheese, garlic powder, merlot, worstershire and salt & pepper. Mix with sturdy spoon just until mixed.
Next, lightly brush mushroom caps on both sides with olive oil. Place burgers on grill first and after the’ve been on a couple of minutes, add mushrooms to grill. Grill burgers to desired doneness, while the mushrooms should be grilled about 2-3 min per side. Lightly brush buns with olive oil and grill a few second per side. Place a burger on each bun, then top with a portabello mushroom, provolone cheese, and 1 slice of bacon cut in half to make two small strips. Place top bun on bacon and gently press down so cheese will melt.
