I created this burger as an alternative to beef. Since we live in Texas, I incorporated some of the Southwest flavors of this fine state.
This recipe came out of my passion for the Burger. And my even bigger passion for trying to make a new, exciting and delicious burger.
I grew up in upstate Ny and never considered Italian as ethnic until I moved away. Italian food was a staple, and most of the rest's there were Italian too.
Burgers at our cottage during the summer for the past several years we have started a tradition. Once a week I make a different burger and we get together and enjoy them with some wine and beer.
My inspiration to make this burger is my huge love for my homemade chili.
