The "HAMBUR-GYRO" was inspired by combining 2 of my favorite foods, the hamburger and Greek gyro.
I have just recently had the pleasure of going to a Greek Restraunt and just loved the combination of flavors and the Tzatziki sauces just blew me away.
My family raises fresh, American lamb. We grill lamb year-round, and we all have our favorite lamb entree off the grill.
This one will take you right to Athens! It is a refreshing change from the typical hamburger.
Slice eggplant into 1/4 inch circles. Drizzle with olive oil. Add salt & pepper. Grill until soft (about 5 minutes on each side. Set aside.
These burgers are a great alternative to beef for those who want less fat or dislike beef. You can make ahead of time; they freeze well.
