The Scenic Route
Finding herself at a cross a road in life, Sylvia Landsman takes off to Italy to get away from her life in New York. She is divorced, unemployed, and friendless. After being swept away by Henry, a married man living off his wife’s wealth, Sylvia embarks on a journey around Europe. This love story, intertwined with memories of her bizarre family and unusual friends, illustrates Sylvia’s powerful life struggles with omission and regret. Even when given the chance, we see Sylvia and Henry give up their opportunity and live a life of a lost love.
